The bright sun shone onto the clear water as the children entered the waterhole.The screaming began the water was shallow but there was some deep spots.A giant splash drenched me as some kids jumped of the sides of the rocky walls.It was cold so the rocky wall was a welcome relief but a freezing cold breeze came.

The water jumped out of the way as some kids jumped off the rocky wall.They were as loud as a elephant the water felt as cold as ice.At the bottom of the waterhole there were sharp prickly stones.It wasn't so cold when we got out.

Student reflection in my writing one of my goals is to use paragraphs with a sentence topic and supporting detail. I did show this goal here because I wrote two paragraphs with good detail. In my writing one of my goals is listen and act on feedback from others I did show this goal here because I got a dictionary and started checking some of my spelling before publishing. My next step is to use some different ways to plan instead of brainstorm. My favourite photo is the extreme close up because you don't really know what it is.

 What image worked best and why? 
The best image is the extreme close up because know one knows what it is.

The birds eye view looks like a sad photo.

What is the story behind the images? What feeling/emotions did you create.
The long shot is run round a track. I felt happy

I would take pictures of objects that look interesting.

What is something you are proud of or have found interesting in your learning recently?

- this weeks hopscotch one of the tasks is find some information about the four layers of earth and I linet some interesting facts like the inner core is hotter then the surface of the sun.

-I need to work on finishing things faster like my Maori and i also need need do more running at fitness.

-by if some one is talking to you you need to listen to them.

Jacks camp reflection

What is your best memory of Tōtara camp?

-my best memory is when we did ab sailing it looked so easy when Blake went to the top
but when i tried getting to the top i got really close to the top and there was a big knot in
the tree so it was stuck so i straitened my legs and got to the top and abseiled down.

What challenged you on camp and how did you get through this challenge?

-the abseiling was a challenge because of the knot in the tree.another thing that challenged
me was the archery because I could not hit the middle of the target and the arrow keepet
fulling of the bow.

How did you show Active Listening on camp and why was it important?

it is impotent to show active listening on camp because when we did the search and rescue the kids had to find the parents. we had a radio and we could have done something to the radio that could make it disconnect and wondered in the rung direction.

Dear Mr Hipkins

I am a year 7 student at kaiapoi north school and my name is Jack.I love our new classrooms they are a great space to learn in.But there is one problem there is no air conditioners.

I like the way you let everyone share their ideas and opinions and you also love people to learn.

Opening the doors is the only way to keep the class cool.But the and flys and bugs come in and distract us from our work also when it is windy things fall off the walls.Outside we have our lunch boxes and it is very hot and it caused things to melt and go yucky.

Most of our class find it hard to concentrate with the heat and the bugs.Especially when we come in from a hot and sweaty lunch time.

People in our class could lash out at each other and get mad because of the heat.That could make everyone mad because we will have to stay in for time it is annoying for a lot of people if they didn’t do it.

A simple air conditioner would be the best thing for our amazing classrooms.It would feel so refreshing after a hot break time.

Wouldn't it be a great feeling that you have helpt over 80 students by putting in a simple air conditioner.

I am proud of my Instagram post because it is short simple and true. I am also proud of my title page in my reading book.

What challenged me over last two weeks?

The maths challenge for my home work challenged me.  Also I was challenged by the rich math task at school.

How did I overcome these challenges or what do I need to do to overcome them in the future?

I solved the home work challenge by asking my dad for help. I solved the rich math task by doing it with a partner.

What is my personal goal for next week?

To finish my work fast and put more quality in to it.
